Encore School of the Arts

Encore School of the Arts does its part to try to keep our youth (and adults) in the "artistic loop!" The benefits of learning music are phenomenal! Groups like Mensa have praised the value of a musical education for decades. Even without the dedication of a life-long skill, trade, and even career, simply studying and learning to read and play music has been linked to improved IQ scores, both basic and advanced mathematics understanding, higher logic skills, and improvement of a myriad of social and emotional qualities. Apart from the musical side of the arts, one must not forget about drama. The social values that the dramatic arts present us with are innumerable. From Shakespeare to next week's new releases, the stage has impacted every facet of our lives. A society has been shown their own faults through the use of dramatic productions. Without these important social statements throughout our history, many of the policies that have shaped our modern world would never have come to pass. Aside from that, how much entertainment do we have that does not include an actor or actress doing something? These days even cartoons are being done by actual actors! The main reason to consider the arts as a part of your life, however, is that it's just a lot of fun! It's hard to find someone that doesn't enjoy and have some interest in the arts. It's even harder to find someone that has studied them in some way and not enjoyed it! We hope that you will consider Encore as a means of helping you along with your artistic goals, whatever they may be.
