They have continually surprised venues and promoters throughout Ontario. "When we began, we were unsure about how to get a gig. We played as many shows as we could, battle of the bands, open mic nights, anything..." Says O'halloran, "eventually, local bar owners began to take notice, but it took hard work".
All of this work has lead A Step Too Far to great achievements - The band has graced Toronto's XM Satellite Radio Studios as well as prominent venues such as the famous El' Mocambo. They've also recently recorded their first EP with acclaimed producer Dan Brodbeck (Doloris O'riordan "The Cranberries", The Salads, Landon Pigg, Jersey). "It was our first time in the studio, it opened all of our eyes I think...I think we see our music differently now" says Pimiskern.
The writing process has always been important to the band. "To me, the idea of an experience is almost more profound than the experience itself" Says Ferraro, "The most important thing is to be honest to an experience, even if it's not my own". "We take elements of everything...whatever sounds good, whatever we like" says Arkwright.
