I am a short, chubby, gray haired little lady that loves music. While in college I thought I wanted to sing Grand Opera for a living, thus my degree was Vocal Performance. Upon graduation, my father said,"Cheri, How are you going to make a living?" I replied, with a smile, "Sing!" Dad could see no future in those dreams, so he suggested that I might teach what I knew how to do. I began teaching in 1972. Married "My Jer", the leading Tenor in the Marjorie Lawrence Opera Theater, in 1973. Taught for a while, had 2 beautiful baby boys, 1975, 1976 and stayed home with them. 1979 our Princess came along, 1981 God blessed us with Simon T. In my youth, I wanted to have a dozen chidren, but after 4 I knew it was time to stop having babies. In 1982 I began teaching Music again in Missouri Public Schools. I have been at it now for 25 years. My dreams have all come true! I "SING" every day with my kids, ALL MY kids. I have, not a dozen, but hundreds of students that have been my kids for a while. I discover new beautiful voices all the time and share with them my love for Beautiful Vocal Music.
I have been richly blessed!
