I am here for Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

"They don't even know what it is to be a fan... you know to truly love some silly little piece of music or some band so much it hurts."
--Almost Famous

I live my life for, by, and in the music, always. There is nothing outside of music, only in it or along with it. I hit four shows, at the very least, every month. Most are local, and by local I mean Baltimore local. If you think you've seen me at a show, you probably have. Come say hi if you do, I like friends.
It irritates me when people treat band boys as objects, just gushing about how hot they are and squeeing over them, pictures and hugs, then running off. They are PEOPLE and they like CONVERSATIONS. Try it sometime.
MY FRIENDS ARE A DIFFERENT BREED, MY FRIENDS ARE EVERYTHING
My list of people who've at some point picked me up when I was down, done me random favors, and otherwise just generally been kick ass forces in my life is as follows: Jess, Casey, Courtney, The Hint Sydney, and Oh, the Sydney!, Rob Kelley, Mitch, Brian, Matt, and Rory, CJ from TMG, Matt S., Dean, TJ, Kat, JW Sargent (for being a total sweetheart and chilling with me regardless of what band he may or may not belong to at the time.) even after they weren't in their respective bands Sean, Kevin, Mike, Josh, and Nick from Ebbwood, James Larson (because i said so. and because even though he can be a douche, he's kept me from falling apart a couple times), Jac from Passed Out and the rest of the girls, Joe (for not calling me crazy at Warped Tour, even though I ran across the field screaming "Hey you! yeah , You! The kid from Hotspur! Are you selling CDs?") and Coop (for ransacking the entire van, twice, to try and find a Drop It Like It's Hotspur shirt in a small or medium) and Dave, Ben D., Mikey ( for looking out for me and making apologies for other people's douchebaggery), Brandon, and Reeder, Jeff Hurn (for picking me up and spinning me around in a circle when he hugged me goodbye), Geoff B., Joe, and Tim, Brad from Veara, Lauren D'Aria, Sean and Sam from The Bride Wore Black, Kelsey, Will from 24/7, Kait, Jeremy and The Scenic boys, Nick and the Aniston boys, Nate (for raising an eyebrow at me when I waved and waving me over for a hug, because, Psht. You do not settle for waves), Brandon (for the batteries and saving my video capabilities and telling me that you love seeing me at shows), Tom, Mickey, and Matt from Mercy, all my Goodbye Skyline crew, Chelsi, Luca Z. and Mike C. from Larkins, Emily, Maryland Emily and Co., Jeff Henley, Paul, Sam Darnell (love you, girl.), Quickstar Joe and the rest of the Quicksatr crew, and everybody who's ever said "Check out this band." and made me a new set of friends. And I'm me, so I've probably forgotten someone, but if I have you know who you are, and if you want, bitch at me and I'll put you on.
Oh, and a special thank you to the girls who are actually nice to me at shows (Marci, Ali, Tiff, Chelsi, Meg, Emily, Sydney, Oh, the Sydney!, Sam, and the rest of you), because most of them are bitches. And thanks to everybody who's ever let me squeeze in front of or between them to take pictures at shows.
I AM STRAIGHT-EDGE.
I do not drink, I do not smoke, I do not do drugs, and I don't particularly like to hang around people who are in the process of doing any of the above. Please note that I practice the lifestyle, I DO NOT PREACH IT. As long as your substance use isn't affecting me, we're peachy. I have very dear friends who smoke, drink, and generallly get under the influence of whatever, and while I don't love it, it's thier choice to make.
I am not a child. I may look like I'm 16 or so, but I am actually 19, turning 20 soon. I've got a life and I'm passionate about my music and my photography. I don't do this for kicks, I'm intending to do this for a living.
I don't pretend to be a hero. I'm just one more broken person walking this world in hopes of finding people who understand my pain. I would be nothing today without Courtney, Jess, Emily, Steven "Untitled" Smith, Jamie and the people of To Write Love On Her Arms, and all the bands that have touched and shaped my life in some way or another, especially Mercy Mercedes and The Apathy Eulogy.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

A Boy who wants me for being me . . . they all seem to either catch a sort of infatuation wherein they "love" me after talking to me rather briefly, or they do and always will see me as a best friend with a great personality. Somehow nobody seems to see the looks and the mind behind them. :/

Anthony Green (Met him at Ottobar, along with Nick, who was chilling with Anthony on his solo tour. They were both really sweet, and I can pretty much die happy at this point. Anthony Green is awe inspiring, and I never thought I'd be standing in an alley having a chat with him, but it happened, and it was glorious.), and the rest of Circa Survive, Nathan and Matthew Leone (Really, really sweet guys. Matt even talked to my friend on my cellphone and told her that they were bummed that she couldn't make it to the concert. I also got hugs from both of them and props for supporting them at Warped, and wearing a ML shirt to Projekt Revolution, where I met them.), Ian Watkins, Ryan Ross, From First To Last (They are the sweetest guys ever, and meeting them made me hate the douchebags who hassle them about Sonny even more, because I said something about "Yeah, I've been listening to you guys since Aesthetic" and Derek mumbled something about "Nice to know there's still a few of you around." all morose like, so I gave him a giant hug and told him From First To Last sounds better now than they ever have. And Matt let me back behind the merch table so I could get a picture with everybody. They were all pretty kickass. and I love chris, the new keyboardist. he is adorable. And I met Ricky Terror too. He is the merch guy, and yes, he is signifigant.), & Wil Francis (Also really sweet, he was talking to all of the fans, and I mean actual conversations, not just a "hey, what's up?") though not necessarily in that order. Why? Not because I want to have their babies, not because I want to scream and bounce around in circles and hug them (although I would like to hug them in a tame and reasonable manner), but simply because I'd like the chance to tell them in person how very much thier music means to me. They'd probably be like "gee thanks" and have security usher me off like a crazy person, but at least they'd know. I'd especially like to tell Ryan Ross that he's created something that's deeply meaningful to me, because I imagine he gets a great deal of "OMG! I love your BAND! You guys are like SO hot!".

On another note, I'd like to meet Steven "Untitled" Smith because he's doing exactly what I want to do. I will work at FUSE, regardless of what it takes to get there. (Update: MET HIM! It was amazing. It was so much better than I thought it would be. He's even more amazing in person than he is on SURS. Speaking of, I'm gonna be on FUSE. Yes, I'm completely serious. Watch for it. And check out the picture I put up.)

As for non-musical people, I really want to meet David Tennant. Yes, I mean that dude that plays Doctor Who. I fly my geek flag high, thank you.
