Walter Schmidt

Walter Schmidt Ballardo, México City 1953. Musician, music journalist, reptile lover and bio explorator. Use to play with some of the most exciting experimental band in México, Decibel; then he started the punk scene in this country with SIZE, then the techno pop scene and mexican new wave with the same band and with Casino Shangai. Schmidt is the pioneer too of the alternative music journalism in México, first directing and writing at Sonido magazine, and after with the radio show "Música Marginal" transmited thru Radio Educación between the 80´s and the 90´s. Most of the mexican modern rock bands owes everything to him, even when they can´t accept it.
