About Me

You can now download his new album - 'piece of me', by clicking on the link across the page listed as - ' Band website'. Alternatively, CD's are always available at any of his live shows....................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ...............................................Jay Gipson is a 36 year old south londoner who has been playing the guitar and performing for over twenty years now. A mixture of blues, folk, rock, country and even indian classical influence his writing. With lap and bottleneck slide guitar, his approach breaks the norm of the usual singer/songwriter strummey predictability.Inspired by old 1920's blues players aswell as artists of today such as Ben Harper, Chris Whitley(RIP) & Kelly Joe Phelps. A great live performer, either with his band or unaccompanied & well worth tearing yourself away from your sofa for the night! His albums - 'NO BIG DEAL' and 'PIECE OF ME' can be purchased from any of his live shows & can also be downloaded from any of the following : www.napster.com iTunes or MSN.
