About Me

Steve's latest CD "Keep On Talkin" (2006), had 2 top-ten singles & was selected to be on the 2006 Grammy ballot for best pop instrumental album. It was his first (and only) major release, and features outstanding performances from Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal, Mario Cruz, Jack Knight, Bill Heller, Thomas J. Huber, and Greg Adams. Rippingtons' keyboardist Bill Heller produced it with impressive skill.Steve, a relative of the late Tal Farlow, has been a busy guitarist in the NY area for some time. Steve lives in Long Island NY, and always seems to be either playing, teaching, or watching/attending Mets games. He has worked with Dave Valentin, Mario Cruz' Natural Selection, Sean Grace, Don Grusin, Funk Filharmonik, Paula Atherton, Randy Brecker, Stealin' Dan, Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal, Steve is also presently working towards his doctorate at Five Towns College, and instructs some jazz guitar majors there. He's also presently writing a jazz guitar instructional book to be published possibly in 2010.Steve and his wife Mary have a 11-year-old son Sean, who is an expert on U.S. presidents. .
