Photography /Singing - I owe my musical influences to my parents and my brothers./ Reading - I'm no bookworm but I like a story with some reality in it. Maybe a bit of emotion./ Shopping - LOL! When I can on my military budget. Anyone who is in the military and knows an E-4 paycheck will understand the joke.
Someone who is not fake.
I am currently listening to a few bands. Unhindered, Building 429, Fireflight, Flyleaf, Pillar, and a couple others. These bands have an awesome alternative feel to them, but they spread God's word and love with it. It's the perfect combo. Music that rocks and gives you a positive influence. My local radio station for this is called Air1. It's nationwide so all you have to do is look it up online and you're set. I'm so thankful for the people that run these radio stations. It's food for the soul.
Dejavu- It's trippy, but fast paced and action packed./ The Illusionist- Just when you think you have it figured out, you realize you have no clue./ Gladiator - It's justice, not revenge./ The Abyss - Ed Harris, what more can I say./ Rocky - Don't try to lie. You know you fell for the "Yo Adrian, I did it!" line too./ I'm pretty much a sucker for a good classic, like On Golden Pond. You know what...there are just too many to count. My mind is being clouded by all the "what were they thinking?!" movies in history.
I'm what you call a "foodie". My hubbie and I are addicted to the Food Network. Rachael Ray, Ina Garten, Alton Brown. They're all the bomb! We also watch a lot of Discovery and Speed channel. That's about it. We recently got a dvr so we record almost everything. It's addictive. :p
The Bible - Seriously! I am finding more and more that the Bible covers everything and anything you could ever have need of. It gives me comfort to know there is a book with answers for life in it./ The Good Earth - Pearl S. Buck captures the simple contentment of working your land and seeing the fruit of your labors./ Moby Dick - There's something fascinating about Ahab's obsession with the whale./ Marley and Me - My yellow lab Bradley is this dog reincarnated. There are just too many similarities. this is my favorite book. It is the first to make me laugh and cry so much.
My parents. They have been married 20 years. I know what they've had to endure over the years and it is nothing short of a miracle that they are together. I witnessed first hand their faith in God alone to cause their marriage to be prosperous. It isn't perfect, but it is something to be respected and taken into account whenever any of us are going through a tough time. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me.
