The Zombie Stompers originally formed in January 2003 as an acoustic punk duo called The Sniperz. Comprised of Jay Disoteo on vocals and guitar and Pat K. on guitar and vocals, the band was formed as a tribute to the legendary local shitcore punk band, O.K.S. The irony of it was that Jay replaced Pat as guitarist for O.K.S. in late 1996 after O.K.S realized Pat sucked. Many, many members have come and gone due to the general flakiness of half-talented and half-hearted "friends". There have been more bass players than I can count and almost as many drummers. Fuck all, (except for Jim).. The two took the Sniperz obnoxious social and political commentary into local acoustic venues and eventually into larger venues in the area with the addition of a drummer. Although band shortly broke up after the childish tantrums of co founder Pat K, the group quickly recruited Joe Milisic to hold down the bass end of things. Joe completed the trio and an entirely new direction was in mind that eventually became known as the Zombie Stompers. A band that would spit in the face of the pop-punk horseshit that is very mistakenly called punk in the first place. A band that would bring back the punk-ass back to punk and remind people to remember the hard side of punk. A band that would inevitably be shaken by the splitting of yet another member, but this time the drummer.
Anyway, The current duo of Jay and Joe remain fully intact and has written and recorded many new songs to keep the name alive despite the incessant bullshit. What you hear here is the work of two people, Jay layed down all the drum tracks along with the guitar and vocals and Joe dropped the bass lines. This is a grassroots efforts that did not pay a dime in recording studio time, rehearsal space time, mixing and editing fees, etc.. The reason being that it was all done independently with equipment Jay has collected over the years from the recording to the editing to the mixing to the final duplication of the actual cds. Despite the attempts of many the Zombie Stompers have resurrected with an albums worth of material.

This is a PARODY of us singing Rick Springfields Jessies Girl. It's another video our friend Jim Moretti put together for us, using footage from a show we played at the Internet Cafe in Red Bank.
