About Me
My full name is Ricardo Guillermo Alban Ericastilla (yeah yeah yeah..... I know, it's long !!!) but everyone calls me Richie. I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala; where I lived most of my life. I also lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a couple of years. My parents, Michael (from England) & Elizabeth (from Guatemala), still live in Guatemala and my sister, Lilie, lives in Atlanta, GA. When my sister and I aren't able to go down to Guatemala to visit our parents, they come up to the States over the holidays and we meet up at my sister's house in Atlanta.
My last years in Guatemala where awesome because not only did I get to party non-stop having just turned 18, meaning I could go to bars, but I also got paid a lot of money for it. I started working as a bartender at a bar called "Collage", located in Antigua, Guatemala. After three years of working as a bartender, I was given the opportunity to manage a bar called "Peña Cubana", also located in Antigua. I had to give up the lifestyle two years later when my parents offered to pay for my education abroad.
Before leaving Guatemala, I graduated with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Bar Management from Rafael LandÃvar University. Then, I moved to Montevallo, AL in the Spring of 2003, where I attended the University of Montevallo. I pledged & joined the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity - Theta Beta Chapter that same semester. I graduated with a degree in Business Management from the Michael E. Stephens College of Business in the Fall of 2006.
