Marc Baldwin Bio:Hailing from Raleigh, NC, Marc Baldwin has been performing, producing and educating since his teens. Growing up around rock, jazz and blues, Marc performed all over the southeast until deciding to take his music knowledge to the next level by entering the Univeristy of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC-A). Here Marc honed his skills and received a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance/Composition.After studying music for three years Marc moved the big city of Atlanta, GA where he has been a professional musician since 2000. Since moving to Atlanta Marc has performed with and for the Atlanta Hawks (as the NBA’s first live in game band), Sony Records, Def Jam Records, the NBA, ASCAP, Atlanta Braves and the Jazz at Lincoln Center to name a few.Marc also produces high quality music through his production company Live On Wax Productions. He has worked with MTV, EA Sports, FOX Sports, Sony, Universal, Def Jam Records, the NBA, Vh1, BET, and his many local groups including AFAR (www.afamusic.com.)Marc is also is a huge supporter of music education and teaches private lessons with the guitar, bass guitar and recording arts. Currently he teaches in Norcross, GA for Music Life (www.musiclifestudio.com), The Atlanta Christian School, The Atlanta International School, as the director of the Day Jams Summer Camp (dayjams.com) and the Reach AFAR program (reachafar.org). Recently he has traveled the US, South America and Africa with the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s program, Amercian Music Abroad (jalc.org/TheRoad) as an official Ambassador to the US educating the world about American music.
