Born Marquis J. Riley, he knew that music was the center of his life. At age 8, he listened and learned every song that came on the radio. His first musical performance was at talent show where he danced with his classmates. He soon started writing poetry about his life and things around him. But his poems flowed more like lyrics than normal poetry of a normal eighth grader.He loved music. He knew every song that come on the radio. He would perform in the mirror with dreams of one day performing on stage. For the first time he put a recording on tape. He used two radios. One for the beat and one to record on.
