In 1994 I became enthralled in electronic music, at the time industrial metal was my first love. My influences included Bauhaus, Marilyn Manson, NIN, Pig, Jack Dangers and others. Within a few years I started making my own electronic music… I bought guitars, drum machines, synthesizers, samplers, etc. My early techno influences from this time were Sasha, Bad Boy Bill and DJ Brian to name just a few.
I went to my first rave in 1998, as many people understand, this was a life-changing experience. This was my first live techno experience; I found myself absolutely immersed in the culture, infatuated with the music. Having watched the turntables, not only hearing, but feeling the bass pounding, I said to a friend, “I can do that, that’s exactly what I want to do.â€
In 2003, I graduated from the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology with a degree in audio engineering. This was the year that I first started to play out, which is still my biggest driving passion.
I like to spin funky techno and hard acid techno, more than anything I like to watch the crowd BOUNCE while I’m at the turntables, rattling the venue. ;-)
