Jen-Jen the Engine

I can almost smell the ocean; wait I was on it this morning.

About Me

I live in my car. No, seriously; I do. My poopy puppy is just barely three months old now and is so smart; I couldn't be more proud. Life is full, full full: career, family, friends, puppy, school, commuting, AMAZING boyfriend and sometimes sleep. I have to take a moment to say that I've tried the new Prescriptives moisturizing mask; it's incredible: go try it. I love to laugh and make other laugh whenver possible. I enjoy every moment with my boyfriend, Sean. He doesn't buy my Pouty Princess routine and keeps me accountable and in-line. I am trying to muster up motivation to re-enter the exciting world of long distance running again. If you know of a fun 1/2 marathon (not just boring old blacktop) let me know. As for now, I really love to sit on my ass and watch tv all day. I am well known for my bartending skills; the pirated Strawberry Martini from Chandler's is my signature (and probably the reason I'm not running anymore)

My Interests

I love doing things Boomer-Style and rollin' with Captain Crankypants. I love playing in makeup and having faux-fashion shows; with or without and audience (and always with an open bar). Medicine and science fascinate and entertain me, nothing is cooler than spouting out a nerdy joke that only myself and the other Doc's comprehend.

I'd like to meet:

Your Mom, because I already met your Dad. OH SNAP! Oh and maybe David Meister and ask why I look so good in his dresses.

Music:

Death Cab for Cutie, Fiona Apple, 3Doors Down, Sting, Heather Nova, James Blunt, Missy Elliot, Modest Mouse, Deltron Zero, The Roots, Pointer Sisters, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Peter Gabriel, NERD, 50 Cent, Annie Lennox, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Bill Withers, Eskobar, Pat Benetar, Cyndi Lauper, Damien Rice, Hall & Oats, DMB, Gin Blossms, Shakira, WHAM, and most Gangsta Crap Rap.

Movies:

Secretary, Eternal Sunshine of the Spoltess Mind, The Color Purple, Lord of the Rings, Closer, Fight Club, Mean Girls, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Team America, Aeon Flux, Saved, 9 to 5, The Last Unicorn, Annie, Seven, 12 Monkeys, 7 Years in Tibet, The Dark Crystal, Donnie Darko, or anything you can cry to. . . .

Television:

South Park, South Park, South Park Golden Girls, The Dog Whisperer, ANTM, Project Runway, The Morning Buzz, most of the shitty shoes on E!, Laguna Beach, Malcom in the Middle, Lifetime movies (the really really bad ones, The Betty Broderick Story, shows that show separation of conjoined twins and faux news shows on Comedy Central; basically anything to either extreme of educational to moronic.

Books:

Bastard Out of Carolina, Merck Manual, There is a Monster at the End of this Book, anything Steinbeck, Catcher in the Rye, The Jungle, and LOVE reading my chemistry textbooks. I truly enjoy the tidbits in the quartly WA State Board of Pharmacy Newsletter (kind of a gossip rag for science geeks)

Heroes:

My Mom; I have always looked up to her; but it's even more of an honor to be raised by a person that so many other people admire as well. Dr. Porter: a woman who can prevent medical disaster via her impressive vault of knowledge, but can manage to look in vogue and put together while doing it and not smudging her newest LV bag. Seanie P is a living super hero. I look up to his work ethic, intelligence and unwavering sense of honor and integrity; he's the real deal.
