I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

The start:
I was born in St. Albans Vermont. I grew up in Enosburg, graduating there in 1998. In 2000, I joined the marines and spent the majority of my enlistment at Camp Pendleton, CA. While I was out there, I was introduced to photography and decided it was something that I wanted to be a part of.
About my photography:
Photography is a fun side project for me. I am not a professional photographer. I work a regular desk job from Monday to Friday during the week until 5:30, so I do any shoots at night or on weekends. I can help build portfolios, I can do artistic and fun pictures, or I help guide you in the direction of being a model, but Im not here to make anyone rich or famous. If you are good enough as a model and have a quality portfolio, then someone who can will notice you.
Reasons I will shoot with you:
1. You have a look that I think could improve my portfolio.
2. I think you may have the drive make an attempt a modeling that would promote glamour photography in the area for everyone.
3. You have an idea that I find to be creative and Id like a part in it.
4. Money
5. You want to fill one of the shoot ideas that Id like to do
How a normal TFCD shoot works:
1. We decide the basis for what the shoot will consist of. (Location, outfits, setting, make up, etc.)
2. We come up with a time where we are both available and able to meet.
3. We do the shoot.
4. I go through the pictures and filter out any off center, slightly out of focus, lighting test, duplicate, bad pose, blinking, or any other pictures that I dont like and delete them from the start.
5. Ill sort through the remaining pictures more closely and get rid of any that I dont feel are up to my standard of work and delete those.
6. I edit the remaining pictures with any touchups if needed, and add my signature to them.
7. Ill put up any that I really like to my portfolio, and send copies of the edited pictures to you.(Number that you recive will vary based on the number of shots we take. On average you will receive about 10% of the total shots taken. Eg: We take 200, you get 20.)
I've send you a friend request because:
1. You're my friend or I know you.
2. I might potentially want to work with you.
3. I like your profile.
4. I like your work
5. You seem artisitic and interesting
Escorts, bodyguards, and chaperons:
Its simple. I dont deal with any. If you feel you need a babysitter, then I feel you need a different photographer. Your safety does concern me, however there is a significantly higher chance of an escort disrupting or negatively influencing a shoot than you getting assaulted by some random photographer. Know the difference between a serious photographer and a guy with a camera. Do your homework. Use someone's references and ask models about a photographer they have worked with. If you would like a list of the models Ive worked with, I can provide one. If you want to do a background check on me, Im fine with that. I think I might still have a speeding ticket on record from 2004, but other then that its clean. Im also available to do a meeting prior to any shooting if that helps you feel more comfortable.
Model Release: I have one that I currently use now. Its in my blog if you would like to see it up front before signing it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Other people interested in photography, photographers, models, anyone who likes my work, general people that would like to give ideas or work with me.

What people have to say about me

I did a photo shoot with Dj back in the summer of 06'. We went to multiple sights to take different photos. I was comfortable shooting with him and i would recomend him to anyone. I hope to soon do another photo shoot with him! Thanks a million!

D J Larose is a pleasure to work with. He is professional and considerate to everybody involved or even interested in the world of Glamour Photography. I highly recommend to photographers, make-up artists and models that they should work with him. His creativity is endless and his talent is unique.

-Melissa Hill

Dylon Larose is not only a true visionary, he has an impressive natural eye for beauty in all things. Whether he is photographing models, landscapes, animals, or still life....he brings the essential qualities of art and camera know-how into each and every picture he takes. When it comes to working with others on a project, he is the ultimate professional....making certain his models are comfortable, giving them much artistic freedom and suggestions. He is honest and refuses to settle for less than perfect images. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great photographer. Get him before he realizes that he should be charging much more for his exceptional work!

-Krista Laraine, model

I am a model that has worked with Dylon for portfolio pictures on different occasions. After reviewing his work. I choose him because his work was artistic, creative, innovative, and was on the cutting edge of photography. When working with him he is confident and always professional with me. Giving me helpful pointers and coming up with excellent ideas. I was very pleased with the final pictures. Wanting my pictures air brushed he did a meticulous job erasing my flaws. I would recommend having photos done by him , and trusting his ideas.

Dylon is a great photographer to work with because he made me feel really comfortable. he has a lot of great ideas, and is creative. We've shot together 4 times, and every shoot he surprised me with the diversity we could creative with limited space, time, props. Always a pleasure to work with.

-Monika

Dylon was the first photographer that I've worked with, and he's one of the best. He has this quality that will make you feel very comfortable the first moment you meet him. Working with him is always a blast. It's a give and take, you are able to work with each others ideas and thoughts. He suggestions are always tasteful and respectful. If you are not pleased with a photo, I know from previous experience, he will solve the problem. Dylon is a great guy to work with for your first photographer or you 100th. He has ideas and talent that would benefit any portfolio or photo project. I recommend him for anyone who likes to laugh, joke and make great pictures.
