LONG STORY SHORT
Around the age of 9 or 10 I was asked to write a song for a music video as a family project. This experience sparked my interest in creating music and it has become my passion. While I have focused on the genre of hip-hop, my appreciation for music has extended to Classical, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Pop, Old Spanish records my Father use to play. For the most part, I have self-taught myself how to use the popular pc applications such as Sonys Acid and Sound Forge. Ive worked mostly on arrangement and form. Most of my experiences have been opportunities provided to me by supporting individuals who want to see me succeed.
The first opportunity presented to me was to create the theme song for a short film documentary, on the outside looking in. presented at the New York Latino Film Festival. This led to the meeting of my mentor and now good friend, Eugene Toale, owner of Light At The End of The Tunnel, a Berkley graduate and an industry known music producer and sound engineer. I had the privilege to have been taken under his wing. Working under Eugene gave me exposure to more popular industry applications, tools and resources such as Pro tools, Logic, studio time and the opportunity to assist in sessions for artist such as Raekwon (Wu-Tang) and also Capone (CNN).
When it comes to music I consider myself a diverse person. The words that I feel best describe my personality are diverse, understanding, ambitious, and patient. I listen to different genres of music to learn from them and also to recognize what it takes to make a good song. I produce hip-hop music because for the most part that is what I am influenced by and am surrounded by.
At the end of the day music is music if you ask me.
What is it that I do, I wont say everything but Ill inform you that I pretty much have the ability to adapt and adjust to any given situation and tell you that what I DONT do is make beats because that anyone can do so, I make Tracks, Songs, and one day Classics.
