You may not know it yet, but Elle Skye is going to change your way of thinking. She will begin by redefining what you think you know about artists hailing from Orlando, Florida. Elle is not the newest member of a fabricated pop group nor is she a one dimensional R&B artist from the Dirty South. Elle is an authentic songstress whose writings, passions, and musical talents are flowing through her veins.
Growing up, this songstress was surrounded by music. Her first inspiration was her own mothers singing. Like many of her contemporaries, Elle Skye began singing in the church and soon moved on to performances at various talent shows in her native Central Florida. It was not long before this singers amazing Lyric Soprano vocal range won her a following and provided her the opportunity to perform alongside such artists as Faith Evans, Shaggy, and Rah Digga to name a few.
Though her musical roots are reminiscent of other young R & B songstresses, Elle Skye insists on not being characterized by these classifications alone. She is a classically trained vocalist, having studied under various voice coaches including Linda Beasley former NYU professor and accomplished songwriter. In 2000 Elle Skye decided to use her training and experience as a launching pad for her solo career and traveled from her Native Orlando to New York City to further explore her talent. Unfortunately, she was faced with a creative stifling which literally prevented her voice from being heard, through her music. "Singing from the heart means everything to me!", she says. "I pour my heart and soul into my songs". Elle's topics are universal, mostly based on her traveling experiences Elle makes music people can relate to. Her voice and style, however, allows her to keep her audience on its toes. "My style and my vocal abilities are very different than that of most people", says Elle Skye. You never know what to expect.
Elle's main focus is to write and produce for other artists. She is using her experience on her own project, along with various other talented musicians, writers and vovalist. In addition to music, Elle has a very strong interest in the world of fashion and hopes to also work on main stream clothing and interior design. Her ultimate goal is to attain longevity in the entertainment industry as an artist and songwriter.
