Twila Marie is a Gospel Vocalist out of Detroit, Michigan she began singing at the age of 2. At age 11 Twila began writing music and is a profound singer/songwriter. Twila has been gifted from God above with a very unique sound and very special gift. Growing up singing was always her passion even from elementary school. She has always been known for her unique vocal abilities. Twila attended Samuel C. Mumford Highschool where many of Detroit's most prominent gospel singers have also attended. Artist like The Winans, Fred Hammond, The Clark Sisters & Deitrick Haddon. Twila has continued to persue a singing career and is now married with five beautiful children and a husband that is a great music producer. Her goals are to continue writing and performing as God pushes her to higher heights and deeper depths. Twila has been honored by the city of Detroit in many ways given her several opportunities to sing during some of the cities most elaborate events like, The Praise Fest, The African American Festival at Detroit's Hart Plaza The African American Museum Opening and many other events. Twila has also been honored with three spirit of Detroit awards as well as honor from the Detroit Free Press. Twila has shared the stage with many artist & producers like Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clark-Cole , Vanessa Bell- Armstrong, Cody Chestnutt, Diff Jones,Producer/Songwriter Jesse Butler AKA Bugsby Boy, 4 ever grateful and many many others. Her goals are to fufill the things that God has purposed within her before the foundations of the world began and to also continue to love people and aspire to be the best that she can both in singing and writing. Her motto is "Jesus is the only star and those of us that strive to be like him are merely reflections." Look out for this young lady who is a true worshipper of The Saviour that first loved us all!
