In ther own words.Baton Rouge native Eric ''Big Easy'' Rosaya found a love for performance at the tender age of 11 through acting. From the first applause given he knew there was only one place he wanted to be, in the spotlight. It was because of this drive he decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Growing up Easy spent his summer vacations in Houston, Tx. In 2002 he was introduced to the underground rap scene and recalls, '' I didnt even know what a mixtape was but they were everywhere in that city. It made me realize first off, being interested already in rapping, there were different levels to the whole rap scene. It was possible to do this without being backed by a major label which didnt even seem like an attainable goal at the time. And secondly if you did it the right way you could live off it.'' From that moment Easy devoted his time and resources into crafting his skill and becoming a supreme entainer. Through the years he has developed himself into a versatile artist with such appealing style, sound, delivery, clever rhyme schemes and casual wordplay you can't help but hear his music and feel his presence. Easy credits his main influences as Chamillionaire, UGK, and Kanye West. Big Easy will be a name on the forefront of hip hop for years to come and strives without cease to make his mark, he explains, '' I'm in the yo' (studio) as often as time allows and I make it a mission to stay consistent but at the same time make every song a little better than the last one. That way every step is a step forward and if its not it goes into the garbage and back to the drawing board.'' While most artist simply strive to make hits, Easy is one who trys to produce classics every second in the lab. From tracks calling for street conscienceness to tracks calling ballers to make it rain and all in between there isnt a very large crowd he cannot appeal to.
