Chandima is the dj name of Jordi Bouwman. He was born on februari 6th in kandy,Sri Lanka. When he was adopted @the age of 8 months he went to holland. At the age of 18 he expierenced his first techno party called Awakenings,there he fell in love with techno. Not only the sound and feeling of techno caught him,also the dj's caught his eye. Almost one year later he bought his first very cheap turntables,it started as a hobby.But when his friends told him he should do something with it,he started to buy better decks,more records a laptop and software. First it was hardtechno he made and mixed but after more listening and spinning he started to turn to a more funky sound. Inspired by dj's such as Ben Sims,Jeff Mills,Rino Cerrone,Geatano Parisio,charles Siegling,Marco Carola,Richie Hawtin,Cristian Varela, and also the hardtechno dj Rush.And producers like,Cari Lekebush,Adam Beyer,speedy j,Glenn Wilson,Michael Burkat and many more. He started to create his own style of mixin and producing. With a friend called Wes-live he started to combine Live with records and Live with Live and Du-o-Penotti was born. After learning more and more,thanks to Sceptical c and Tachini. They started to organise there own techno party's to let the people listen to what they were up to.Now they are with 3 minds included Steenis and they still do this party's,called PUMPIN'TECHNO.
