i loves me some historical fiction! james clavell's Shogun and gary jennings' Aztec would have to be two of my favorites. i also enjoyed the dan brown books for their informative aspects, and found myself reading research books for awhile, such as works by gavin menzies, who wrote about the possibility of the chinese circumnavigating the globe before westerners, or laurence gardner's series on the origins and secretes of christianity, and possible implications of lost ancient technologies.
