About Me

Chucks Wagon is a four piece Alt Country Rock Band based in Sydney, Australia. Chucks Wagon play heartfelt country rock songs, inspired of Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams and Johnny Cash. Formed in 2006, Chucks Wagon have released an “Bootleg”e.p in 2006, their Debut Album in August 2007, a debut video single “Black Road” in 2008 , as well as “Live in Austin Texas” Chucks Wagon have toured nationally, and have enjoyed two killer tours at the Tamworth Country Music Festival 07/08! Chuck toured Texas U.S.A. solo in support of the Debut Album in September 2007, returning with Guitarist Kinnon Holt (Alex Lloyd Band) in June 2008 in support of the “Black Road” release, playing 23 shows in 25 days. Performing in Duo Mode as well as enlisting the Rhythm section of Texas locals, Lil Bit and The Customatics. Whilst in Texas they recorded “Live in Austin Texas” at Roadhouse Rags, which was released at Tamworth 09! Meeting and chewing the fat with long time hero Steve Earle in San Antonio, was also a real highlight! Returning to Australia, Chucks Wagon had their debut video clip , “Black Road” picked up by the Country Music Channel, giving the band some national exposure, reaching 38 on the charts!Building on the Success of their debut album and Black Road, Chucks Wagon headed into the studio with acclaimed Country Maestro John Mc Connell, who has worked with bands such as The Flood. The finishing touches being placed by Mastering legend, Don Bartley (Studio 301-now Benchmark) to work on “Lipstick and Sin” ,The bands third album to be released in August 09 in Australia, and September 09 on their third U.S.A. tour, taking in Texas, Colorado and California!. Chucks Wagon will be releasing their second Video single, Lost Highway, shot by Production Company , “18 on 9”, whom also where responsible for Black Road. Chucks Wagon are proud to announce there new dates for the Lipstick and Sin Australian and U.S.A. tour and are biting at the bit to get back there and play!
