I am here for Friends

About Me

..Hi, folks, and welcome! I'm the amused and challenged mother of six-year-old twins and the lucky wife of an extraordinary husband. While the kiddos are at school, I work from home in healthcare leadership recruiting, with a few writing jobs on the side as well.

My Interests

Guilty Pleasures

OK, this is a blog that begs for comments because I really want to know what your guilty pleasures are. What do you just loooooove to do to spoil yourself, even if it's fattening, expensive, time-cons...

A Hill to Die On

I've come to a new realization as a mother: Hell hath no fury like a woman whose child was scorned...especially by an adult the child trusts and loves. You have to pick your battles, and as ...

Stopping Traffic

On my way to get the kids from school yesterday, all traffic halted on the very busy highway because two Canada geese were crossing the road. These two geese were just cautiously (and ever so slowly) ...

Big thoughts, small boy

We were at the river this afternoon. Sis and daddy were down the beach a bit looking at animal tracks in the wet sand. My boy was building with rocks and sand at the river's edge. Then, quite suddenly...

Worth It

A lot of days start with me cursing the alarm clock and asking myself what is the point of getting up yet again, packing up lunches, hussling off to school and work, racing back to school to fetch gru...
