I'm not going start off with all my credits and validations of why I'm dope. I'ma show you Me'ky-el the spirit being in a human body.... I'm a artist who has made a choice, through all my years of resisting to do what was right [seeking God], finally facing the reality that either DO IT OR DIE. That's not really an option you want to have on you....so I guess you could say I was drawn to God but kinda forced in the process, through circumstances, though I had a choice, but what kind of choice is that? I would've been foolish and dead if I didn't choose HIM. I'ma keep it real wit you all the way 100, I dont claim to be some holier than thou type a dude, cause that couldn't be more further from the truth. I lived a street life and was just a man who needed help and still do, and I acknowledged that FACT that I got sins, that I cant fix myself, and woulcn't be able to fix myself without CHRIST's help. That was the sole purpose of his death and resurrection. To redeem you of those sins while giving you the gift of eternal life and Life more abundantly while were still here on earth... No matter what you've done in your past. I got many TRUE Godly, angelic visitation stories, stuff that some might only imagine in a movie. Am I special? No... Am I the only one He's done that with?....No, Am I the only one who has received HIS Holy Spirit?...No. The truth is you get out of life what you put in it, bottom line!!! I put a lot of sincere praise, fasting, conversation, obedience and worship in YAHWAH and HE gave alot of HIMSELF back. I might tell you somethings that you can only experience in HIS prescense. Theirs some who just cant believe it, but I haven't done anything that you don't have the very same opportunity to do, to experience HIS active prescense around you. On my album the majority of my songs are actually YAHWAH's words that HE actually gave, when you listen to it you'll be able to discern when I'm talking and when its HIM. The gifts HE's given me is not to make you dance, tho I got a couple of joints like that, thats not my calling... Theirs many that will do that for you. I'm called to make you think and to show you whats actually happening spiritually, from a physical point of understanding. That my people is where the challenge begins, b/c most of you wont even listen to lyrics, for that reason I was told to dumb it down by "industry heads", b/c *YOU* HIS people are too ignorant to pay attention.. Is that true? If you do you will truly be blessed. In my lyrics is where you will find HIS messages, some that are out right controversial/against the grain, loving and wrathful. My myspace selection of songs doesn't even reflect or scratch the surface of whats on the album that will release early/mid 09'. I've been nothing but 100 with you all and will continue to do so............... Now here's some of my credits for what its worth............... Me'ky-el's been doing this for year's...with many accomplishments to his credits, but still stays humble thru it all and emphasizes " no man is an island" From his early days in New York when his stage name was "39Stepz" buzzing the underground.Opening up for such artist as Big L{Rip}, Lord Finess, Mic Geronimo, LL cool J, from his days of playing on the underground stations @ 90.3 WBAU to 107.5 WBLS... That all changed in "96 when God touched his life and ushered him into a new dimension of song no longer compromising his craft for monetary gain, "Much easier said than done" he says" I had to look at all my previous works and accept the reality that it was all done in vain or continue on a crooked path till death"... "give this all up for you God?.. and spit for you?... people aren't even ready for that". But inside him he heard God's still small voice say "follow ME and receive more" You the listeners are witnessing history in the making a time that will be reflected upon like "80's Hip-Hop. Me'ky-el's sent with an agenda and a purpose and when all the smoke clears the only one who will get the Glory is God. Me'ky-el's only a messenger, a willing vessel conscious of the time and future, as should we all be.
