1) Non-descriptive style of role play where the character’s name is posted at the beginning
2) Shortened version for “Out of Characterâ€
3) Character is constantly in a state of pain, depression or some form of misfortune, only for the purpose of getting attention from other characters
4) A title used for people who have role played for extended amounts of time and have honed their writing abilities to an amazing point. They commonly post four or five paragraphs worth of a descriptive introduction, and point out every single detail to the point where every sentence paints a picture for the other role player.
5) The symbol used for Role Play
6) Descriptive style of role play with lengthy paragraphs describing the characters thoughts, emotions, and sometimes even their past along with a response to the other person’s post.
7) Where a role player controls the other role player’s character without their consent.
8) The use of improper wording and spelling, such as u, 2, aight, lol, g2g
9) Quotation, used when a character is speaking.
10) A title used for those who have problems with spelling, grammar, punctuation and descriptive posts, also lovingly known as ‘n00bs.’
11) A title used for the average role player, who is able to use fair grammar, punctuation, spelling and posts with enough description to get the message through.
12) A symbol used to separate text for when the role player is speaking out of character.
13) Symbols used in Script Style to show actions.
14) Normally used in battles, where a character is able to hit another, but does not allow themselves to be hit by the other character.
15) The area, time period, time of day, and season that a role play is played in.
16) A character commonly described as “so beautiful or irresistible†and “everybody loves themâ€. They are also commonly described to be flawless.
17) When a role player speaks outside of the role play, not using their character. This is usually separated from the role play by the out of character symbol.
