Michael Hodges began playing drums at 14-years-old; by 19 he formed the band “Adrian†along with his classmate Adrian Belew. The band performed around their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for several years where Hodges and Belew developed into the virtuosos they are today.While performing together a few years later in the band “Sweetheart†in Nashville, Frank Zappa selected Belew to be his guitar player in his touring band. Hodges then went on to perform with another successful band from Cincinnati, “Pure Prairie League.â€In 1989 Hodges and Belew joined forces once again for the “Mr. Music Head†world tour. David Bowie heard the band in Montreal and immediately chose them as backing musicians for his massive “Sound & Vision†world tour. They performed for sold out audiences in twenty-two countries around the world and on television and awards shows.Hodges has been the drummer for Adrian, Pure Prairie League and numerous other acts.Hodges recently completed another world tour with Belew that took them to Italy, Germany and Japan.
