About Me

My name is Michelle. I love working out-I'm a health nut, I love music, anime, art, reading, hiking, fishing, and going to concerts. I'd like to think I'm pretty outgoing and love meeting new people. My friends call me a bit of a hippie and I can't stay inside for too long before I want to explore something new. I study Biology, Anthropology, and Archaeology at the University of Nevada, Reno. I'm currently working on research with one of my professors and this summer I'm working as an Archaeological surveyor. I really enjoy the company of friends, family, and my boyfriend Mike. I spent four months in Ireland recently and have to say it's the most beautiful/amazing place I've ever been. I can't wait to go back to Europe some day. The things that make me happiest are- traveling, hiking, being outdoors, accomplishing something, learning new things, and testing my physical abilities.
"And today the millions cry, We eat and drink while tomorrow they die. The real battle just begun. To claim the victory Jesus won, On a Sunday bloody Sunday, Sunday bloody Sunday." - "Sunday Bloody Sunday" U2

My Interests

Boyfriend-things, READING, ANIME, working out and lifting weights,Studying, Music, Records, Rain, Frank Zappa, Mountains, Hiking, Religions, Anthropology, Biology, National Geographic, Traveling, New York City, TEA!, Frank Zappa, Friends, Europe, Ireland, and Museums, Genetics.

I'd like to meet:

Frank Zappa. RIP 1993. I'll meet you on the other side.

Music:

One of my passions! Just ask and I will gladly trade/share anything/everything I own. You cool with wax? I'm a huge Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Yes, Jethro Tull, Caravan, Tom Petty, The Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Magma, Yes, King Crimson, The Talking Heads Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, Megadeth fan...etc etc. I used to be a huge metal head so I can probably list off a lot. I am a big fan of classic rock but I love delving into the more obscure genres like psychedelic music and British folk. I love Procol Harum, Gracious!, The Strawbs, The Byrds, Can, Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention. I just have way too much to list off, it would seem endless. You'll just have to talk to me about it!

Movies:

I'm picky but what I enjoy I absolutely love. Spinal Tap is my favorite film along with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'm a total sucker for classic "chick" movies like: Pretty In Pink, Never Been Kissed, Clueless, Dirty Dancing, Ever After, 10 Things I Hate About You etc. I also have dipped my toe into the more obscure stuff like: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Ghost World, Waking Life. I enjoy cult classics like: Pulp Fiction, RockyHorror Picture Show, A Clockwork Orange, 2001 Space Odyssey, Tommy etc. Sci-Fi movies are among my favorite as well. I'm a Starwars fan (the 70's Starwars, not the cold war starwars)and movies like Tron, Dune, Total Recall, The 5th Element, This Island Earth (MST3K version) I like Frank Zappa's movies too like 200 Motels, Baby Snakes etc.

Television:

I don't own a television but I watch a ton of anime. I'm fairly obsessed with Ergo Proxy, Evangelion, FMA, Gangkutsuo, Tencho Tengue, FLCL, Death Note, !!!CLAYMORE!!! BECK, and Basilisk. I really enjoy the Simpsons, Mystery Science Theater 3000 (I own like 30 DVDs), Futurma, Reno 911 (keepin' it alive in the 775) but I have little time to watch television.

Books:

I read as much as I can. I read anything I can get my hands on as long as it keeps my interest. Kurt Vonnegut is probably my all-time favorite among a lot of classic authors. Thomas Hardy, Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen, H.G. Wells, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sylvia Plath, Nobakov etc. I'm currently getting into what is known as "cyber-punk" and just finished a novel called Neuromancer. I'm trying to chew my way through some Alexandre Dumas whilst looking into more contemporary pop stuff like Chuck Klausterman.

Heroes:

Frank Zappa, My parents and older brother, Mike Crepinsek, Nelson Mandela, Mike T. Nelson
