About Me

My Interests

Books, movies, gaming, internet stuff, manga, anime, languages, and food!

I'd like to meet:

Any of my favorite authors.  I'd have really liked to have met Madeleine L'Engle, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Willaim Shakespeare and Lloyd Alexander, but I won't get a chance now.  I'd like to meet Nora Roberts, Susan Cooper, Garth Nix, Alice Walker, and a slew of others too long to mention.I also wouldn't mind having met Mother Theresa, or someone of her ilk (there aren't many in the world, I'm sure).  I'd like to meet Nelson Mandela, if I get a chance.

Music:

Upbeat, kicky kinds of music really make me happy.  I like just about everything, but I've found a slight aversion to R & B lately, due to much of it sounding the same to me.

Movies:

Narnia movies, TMNT, good romantic comedies, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, just about any movie well-based on a book...

Television:

Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, TMNT, Heroes

Books:

Yes please!  I have my own library now.  Today, a room, tomorrow, a stadium!!!

Heroes:

Anyone with the courage to sacrifice for something they believe in. That takes guts, on whatever level.

From the bare-bottomed, with love!

On Massage: Okay, so I realize that in most other countries, people aren't as uptight about nudity as Americans. Given that, a certain level of modesty is still expected, and personally felt. I decid...

In memorium of the stupid

Ok, having procrastinated to the point that I will never ever catch up, I intend to make this Thanksgiving Day my summary point. First off: spicy in China is about seven levels spicier than the spicy ...

China - Day 2

I think I've figured out why there's so much neon in China. It's because of the smog. Unless you have something large and incredibly flashy, you will see nothing in the dark. Thusly, neon. So, I've c...

China - Day 1

First off, I hate jet lag. There's not much that I can hate without guilt, but jet lag currently tops the list. It's 5 am, and despite the fact that I was in airports for more than 21 hours yesterday...
