About Me
M-Squared grew up in Baltimore, MD and began mixing in his early college years as just a mere hobby. Practicing hard day and night, and listening to other DJ’s in the area, M-Squared started developing his own skills on the turntables. Only months later, this hobby became the start of something that grew very quickly, a promising music career. Influenced, by many dj's in the area, M-Squared spent many of hours listening to other dj's mixes and styles and reading many articles on the art of djing. It was only a matter of time when M-Squared would start to develop a style that he could call his own. M-Squared started to do small events such as house parties and cookouts to display his talents, and eventually, his sound was starting to get noticed by people other then his friends and family. A Promoter came up to M-Squared at a house party that he was djing and asked “Mâ€, as many have come to call him, if he would like to join his team and start djing college parties at night clubs. This had excited M-Squared, because not many dj's make to the club scene for several years and M-Squared had done this in only a few months. Initially, M-Squared started out by opening up for other dj's which meant he wasn't getting that much exposure, but this would quickly change. Club goers started noticing M-Squared's ability to get the crowd hype and keep the party moving. So people began to request that he be allowed to play more. One night M-Squared received more playing time, and at the end of the night many people congratulated him by saying, “M, you kept it hot!†The Promoter even said, I am going to start using you more because you are blazing like a hot day!†So what do you call a blazing hot day? A Scorcher! And thus became the title “The Scorcher†M-Squared!Working his way up through the ranks, M-Squared began to take the college crowds by storm and eventually started to get noticed throughout the city of Baltimore. Today M-Squared can be found spinning at all typed of events from, Weddings, to Concerts with Ying Yang Twins, Paul Wall, Bun B. More recently, M-Squared did a concert with Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and another performance with B5. M-Squared got his first crack a radio in 2006 when the host “Strictly Hip-Hop,†the number one Radio Show in Baltimore, asked him to mix on the show. Now you can hear M-Squared on 97.9 The Beat, Saturday nights from 9pm to 2am and Sundays from 6pm to 9pm. His current goal is to move on towards syndication and currently working on plans to go on tour with a few up and coming major artists. But no matter what the obstacle, be assured that "The Scorcher" is "ALWAYS KEEPIN' IT HOT"...so "YOU BETTER GET INTO IT!!!!"............
