I got a Ludwig drum set in the early 70's. (I traded it for a go-cart). At 15 I was in electronics school and some other kids had a band. I built a light show out of a dresser drawer and some bean cans and they let me in the band. 3 years later I joined the Navy and my neighbor had drums that he let me play. He knocked on my door one day and offered me the kit for $75. A year later while on the USS John F. Kennedy I put a band together called "The Hostages". We had 12 songs and were damn tight. We practiced 4 times a week. My first gig was on the flight deck of the JFK in front of 2,500 people. When I got back to Bama I was fortunate enough to get to play with the people I had idolized as a teen. More often than not over the last 30+ years I've been on stage somewhere on Friday & Saturday nights. There's been a dozen or so working bands and all were learning experiences. If I could re-live the past 30 years I would practice more. I do almost every day now. I always try to play with people who are much better than I so I'm being pulled to the next level. My current band is PULP FRICTION and I'm having a blast. Hope you come see us sometime!***********UNDERGROUND SOUND RECORDING - Since 1986 - 32 years ago I was cutting demo (cassettes) for working bands. I've almost figured it out. Today everyone with a computer thinks they're an engineer. You can waste a month in your friends garage and still end up with crap. I charge $150.00 for 4 hours on a weeknight. You will leave with a quality demo. ***********************************************************W
