The entire audience seems mesmerized by Jupiter’s charisma and Massive 5’s groove. The Press catches on, their name appears in all medias (interviews on La Première, songs played on Radio 21, FM Brussel, ...) Since then, the audience has been rising, rising again and again.
The band consists of a lead vocalist, a bass / drums / guitar trio with a violin and a blues harp bringing this “world†touch that makes Massive 5‘s unique sound. Five musicians gathered around Jupiter, singer / songwriter and charismatic figure of an open-minded reggae, between African, Jamaican and Western tradition. Two female background singers add a feminine touch and complete the formula.
With a lot of success in West Africa with the bands Jef-J (25.000 albums sold) and LampFall Sarafina (which has been the subject of a movie, directed by Jean-Baptiste Delahaye in 2003) and a strong stage experience from numerous African tours, Jupiter arrives in Belgium with his exceptional voice and his original compositions.
Progressively, he became more familiar with the local musical scene in Belgium and throughout Europe. With Massive 5 he found an ideal opportunity to spread his message of peace and conscience more widely than before and to grow again in a way of share, tolerance and humility.
A blend of Peter Tosh and Ali Farka Toure, between reggae, blues and world music, Jupiter is surely one of the voices, unique in Belgium, to discover absolutely.
