About Me

I'm a guitar-player. I sing a few numbers here and there. I'm involved a couple of projects:Patchwork Monkey - and no, we didn't name it after that scary movie - we found about that afterward. We bridge repitoire from Cab Calloway to Amy Winehouse in addition to original material. Our singer has a beautiful, soulful voice. We play traditional bellydance and Arabic music - and a few Turkish things as well. We played music for El Genneyya bellydance at the Bristol Ren Faire last summer. We play at the annual winter hafla here in Madtown as well. And we play at the annual UW bellydance shows. Soon we'll be playing the Med Hooka in between some bellydancing performances.I'd like to write more songs and poetry, but the muse is fickle and beauty trickles from her tongue eratically, I catch a drop sporadically, just enough to torment me ....See, I like that okay, but it just sounds pompous, doesn't it?
