About Me
Well I'm a 40 something geezer, who (unfortunately for some!) still thinks he's in his twenties, but the following is a list of things that I have been or indeed in some cases still am (you'll have to guess which!) : A bootleg salesman, editor of the first punk fanzine in Portsmouth (SIN)(inspired by Mark Perry and Sniffin Glue), editor of the first punk fanzine in Portsmouth to sell out his principles for cash and bitterly regret it, once interviewed The Cure's Robert Smith and Siouxsie while sitting in the bath (!!), in a band for about a year or so (and we released a single too!!) only to be chucked out because I didn't gaze at my shoes for long enough or like Joy Division enough,a promoter of alternative musical events (Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Pop Will Eat Itself, King Kurt, Terry and Gerry, The Meteors etc), a manager of a top roots / pop / acoustic band called ColvinQuarmby, a pen pusher,owner of a mindset somewhere between the punk ethic and The Likely Lads, a writer for various music magazines, a trophy shop owner, a company director, a guitarist of mindblowingly average ability, a lover of all things football and Portsmouth FC, alone, happy, sad, argumentative for the sake of it, naughty, kind, a proud dad (thank you Lloyd and Liam !), surprised I'm still here (but thanks to Donna I still am!!), sometimes confused by myself, amazed by my lack of memory ..............!!
