   Training
Roland's goal with every client is to help them better understand the specific needs of canines based on factual and scientific evidence, then, to set and achieve their specific, personal goals on a desired schedule. Working directly with any dog he can trouble shoot and correct mal-adaptive behaviors using a balance of motivation, praise and correction. He does not use food as a reward. He does not cause trauma, fear, or damage the esteem and spirit of the dog using coercion.
Roland believes that with a fair and consistent balance between praise and correction the dog can learn to respect its boundaries and live up to your expectations. He strongly feels that corrections should never be given in anger or include any type of physical or mental abuse.
He teaches that your dog's socialization with humans and other animals begins with obedience and must be administered with an increasing use of diversity and distractions, utilizing a controlled level of exposure and desensitization to people, place, and things. This approach creates a dynamic of " Obedience as a way of life, not as a trick or novelty."

(1) In home dog training and consultations.
(2) Dog training at our facility in upstate New York.
(3) Boarding services.
   In Home Training
Workshop and private lessons at your place of residency. You train your own dog under our guidance and direction.
Consultation: Case history, Evaluation Program recommendation.
Workshop: Proper use of equipment, Practical application of technique.
Introduction to rehabilitation and obedience as a new way of life.It all begins with a consultation and a workshop. Our initial meeting is always held at the clients' place of residence, this way we can see the animals in their home environment, - their " home turf, or stomping ground." We need to see your dog where it is most comfortable and where you all spend the majority of your time together. This creates a realistic approach to your real life situations. During this consultation, we will do a thorough case history, - this covers the past history, current state of afairs, and goals for the future. We thoroughly evaluate each case then create a personal program recommendtaion, specifically designed to mee your individual goals in a prescribed time frame. The next stage of our initial workshop is to address any behavioral issues, first we enter a management phase, and then a rehabilitation phase. This is handled in day one, guaranteed.The final phase of our initial workshop is to introduce the first three commands of our initial phase one obedience program. These commands are designed to get you and your dog moving together as a unit when out in the street, and to teach your dog to be a good host at your home, and a good guest when visiting others at their homes.
These commands are: Heel- To walk at your left side on a loose leash, to move with you as a unit and remain attentive at all times.
Sit With Built In Stay- The implied stay means that " sit means sit" until further notice.
Place Your dog will go onto a placemat and stay there until another command or realse is given.
Our initial workshop ranges from 4 hours to the entire day. Our role at this workshop is that of a behaviorist, a trainer, a consultant and a coach. Similar to a trainer a a gym, we guide you through the process, show you the proper form and give you a training schedule set up to achieve your goals. We make sure that you have the outlined results with a loose leash in your hand before we go home. You must follow through and stay consistent in order to achieve and maintain these goals. Once we leave it is up to you to train your own dog.
The workshop fee is $500.00 and results are gauranteed.After our initial workshop, you may choose to continue with private lessons at your place of residency. Subsequent lessons start at $150.00 per lesson.
Training At Our Facility
We train your dog at our place and return it to you "signed, sealed, and delivered." All inclusive, in house training at our facility in upstate New York. These residency training programs are the difference between teaching your child a new language yourself through individual lessons, or sending your child to live in another country and learn this language through cultural immersion. In these programs, it is our job to train your dog, six times a day on leash and three times a day inside on a placemat around a home environment. Your dog comes back trained with verbal commands and hand signals. The client is responsible for maintaining this. Not only does your dog get to live this new way of life , they recieve the added benefit of socialization with our pack of fully trained "house" dogs. Our daily rate is comparable to that of a private lesson, making this by far the best value for the most training. Phase one is covered in a two week, $1800.00 program.Our basic programs start at $1500.00. All of the necessary training equipment and travel fees are included.
Boarding Services
Boarding starts at $59.00 per day and ranges from standard kenneling, to cageless, to in home.We have staff on duty 24 hours and if your little one would prefer to sleep on a day bed with our night staff, we can make the arrangements. We cook holistic meals for our dogs, offer grooming, and door to door pick up and drop off services. We only offer boarding to our training clitele. This insures that your dog will be spending time with other dogs that are properly trained and socialized to the same high degree of standards. Our goal is to provide you with the maximum peace of mind while you are away. All training is proofed and maintained during your dog's stay.
Location Of Our Facility
Our training center is located one hour and forty-five minutes north of the George Washington Bridge, upstate, on a 350 acre farm stop a gorgeoous mountain in WestbrookVille, N.Y. We border on over 6500 acres of state preserve land with countless miles of hiking trail, ponds and streams, finally terminating in the Neversink Gorge and spilling out into the Delaware River.The use of our grounds and facility is now available to our clients for day trips, and the farmhouse is available for overnight and weekend stays for you, your family, and your dogs.
