Get Reggae Online Status IconsThe mighty redeemers are an extremely talented youth reggae out-fit creating, penetrating and generating musical vybez in the countryside of the u.k. The band originaly started out in early 2004 when Ras (lead vocals and writer/producer) founded the group and recruited some school friends and fellow musicians as members , after taking part in a music workshop set 4 helping young bands we started to take our music much more seriously we started playing more shows and trying to establish ourselves more. The band has changed members a couple of times since then and have played a large amount of shows over the past couple of years from festivals like the big green gathering and fordstock ,airfusion to venues in glastonbury, ashburton, totnes and even a set at exeter phoenix supporting the mighty diamonds(live tracks from this show can be heard here on myspace).
Our music is music concerning reality and finding a positive out look to the situation of the worlds trials and tribulations at this present time,
but as youth we want our message to reach the youth, because the youth of today bring the children of tomorrow, and if we don't stand upto the
corruption and miss construction of today as our generation, then big corperations of the world will grow more wild and more vile than they are,
so whats the future? We need to take things into our own hands, they claim not to lie but deny us of the truths same way.Our music is influenced by the likes of: THE RASITES, michael franti and spearhead, BOB MARLEY,dennis brown, & GENTLEMAN.
We play mostly our own trax with addittional covers from the greats of our music.
