My real name is Jay Jenkins but now known as Young Jeezy. I was born in Columbia, South Carolina, as a toddler moved to Hawkinsville, Georgia, grew up in Macon, Georgia, but now reside in ATL.
In 2005 I signed with Bad Boy Records to join a group known as Boyz N Da Hood, but after our first album I went solo and signed with Def Jam Records. Things are going better for me since going solo.
