Just Skillz AKA Justin Larkin was born in Norfolk, Virginia and moved up to "The Dub" shortly after he was born. At tha age of 9 he started to take up a very strong interest in music. He started out on a small drum set and worked his way to tha keyboard. Eventually, he got a computer and all musical hell broke loose! By the age of 12 he and his cousin Lee would often make their own beats and remixes as well as their own mixtapes. Real mixtapes too, not just a bunch of songs on a cassette. They bought mixers, equalizers, midi keyboards and professional sound cards to make their own remixes of hit dance songs in the mid 90's. But there was always something about tha microphone that fascinated Justin so eventually, he picked it up. To this day he's still holding it and it doesn't look like he's letting it go anytime soon! With his own sound "Just Skillz" finally emerged. With influences like 2pac, Bone Thugz ~n~ Harmony, A Tribe Called Quest and Jurassic 5 he mixed hip-hop with rap (and 4 those who don't know: yes there is a difference). This sound is distinct in every beat he chooses and tha lyrics that flow over tha tracks. With enough lyrics to fill up almost 2 double albums, listeners will have a blast playing Just Skillz through their stereos! To those who are true to real Hip-Hop enjoy.....and Thank You!!
