FIFO THE BEAR for PRESIDENT!

About Me

I grew up in the beach side town of Pacific Palisades, California, to a family of visual artists. In the early 90's I traveled the U.S. with my band Crush Violet. As a singer/songwriter, I had the honor of recording my songs with members of Supertramp among others. After a family reunion in 1994, I was inspired to write a children's book. Looking for a cute and catchy name for a main character, I kept hearing "first in, first out". Hence the name Fifo was born. While waiting for the second book to be released, I am working on my third book, as well as writing a children's album. I am also a current member of the Soceity of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. www.scbwi.org.Oh yeah, to pay the bills I also work in entertainment business management having worked with such artists as Adema, Candlebox, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Lukas Rossi, Rod Stewart and Supertramp to name a few.Of course, FIFO THE BEAR remains my true love! Here are some pics from book events. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..>About Fifo:Fifo is a brown bear from Denali National Park and he is six years old.In Fifo's first book he is starting school for the first time. Fifo is a bit scared so Mama comforts him with his favorite breakfast, and they talk about what he wants to be when he grows up. By the end of breakfast, Fifo's been a doctor, a fireman, a pilot, a policeman, a teacher and even the president. Now he's ready for anything, even the first day of school. Come take a look inside, Fifo - "When I Grow Up". .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..> Fifo "50 States"Fifo’s been bitten by the travel bug! Digging up diamonds in Arkansas, looking for fossils in Kansas, enjoying a delicious bowl of gumbo in Louisiana, and even seeing a Broadway show in New York. America is an exiting place! In Fifo’s second book, told in rhyme, Fifo dreams about visiting all 50 states. A colorful reference-like book, Fifo discovers the wonders each state has to offer. He learns along the way each state’s capital, shape, flag, motto, and much, much more. The possibilities are endless! So, come along with Fifo and you’ll soon discover the beauty of America one state to another. Please come check us out a bookstore near you.
