The world is a fucked up place, wars being waged in the name of "GOD", for financial gain, family vendettas, economic sanctions, or oil. No one seems to believe in the value of human life. I believe that the human potential is limitless, that we are capable of anything. But instead of acting on it and improving the world around us and ourselves, we choose to live out our pointless lives in the pursuit of financial gain. We deny millions of people who have the potential to save this fading race because they dont have a "degree" or the money to acquire one. I think its about time we have a race, a government, even a corporation that doesnt make vital decisions on "cost effectiveness", "risk assestments", or "acceptable losses", but acting on what is right, what is the right thing to do?But even then, what is right? its all a matter of perception.I think its wrong to oppress a group of people simply because they think differently than you, IE, who your attracted to, or what religion, or lack or religion you believe in. But there are those among us who believe they are right in oppressing said people.Basically asking acceptance seems to be too much for the people in this country, and indeed the world, so what about simple tolerance? Is it so much to ask that people stop killing other people and just tolerate other people? I dont like religion, but i am not actively oppressing them and trying my hardest to make sure that they dont have basic human fucking rights, so........Is it really so much to ask?"you are an interesting mix, capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares"
