Lyrical Candy was Born in Newark NJ, where artist such as Red Man, Queen Latifah, The Fugees and Naughty by Nature began there careers in entertainment. At the young age of 14, Candy called up a local NY Morning show (Hot 97) to feature on a small Hip Hop Talent Battle called Check The Rhyme. Hosted By Ed Lover, Lisa G., and Dr. Dre. She definitely proved herself to be a new MC in the running, walking away with prizes, and a new-found love for the Hip Hop Culture. Lyrical Candy performed with L.T. Dance Inc over seas in 2000, in the Famous, “White Palace Theater†Located in Northern China. Having an influential role on how talent is viewed in even a foreign country. She has also featured on the Morthership Connection Cable Television Show In NYC.
Lyrical Candy is a well-rounded entertainer who can rap, sing, dance, act and write. Her lyrics are truly felt by her listeners. She speaks the truth and from the heart. Critics say that there are no boundaries or limitations to where she will go from here.
Songs Include Walk the Line, What’s it Gonna Be, Don’t Stop Daddy and Rise Up! Lyrical Candy is working on her upcoming album with The Beat Shop Recording Studio in Newark NJ. The Album is scheduled to release in the Summer of 2007. She is also currently working with choreographer Dancette from LT Dance Inc., Real Hustle Entertainment, and other artist from the tri-state area.
