About Me

Ryan Hainstock a.k.a. RhymeSkeme first picked up the mic in early 2003 when friend and ex crew-mate Davitz introduced him to writing lyrics. RhymeSkeme wasn't always interested in Hiphop tho. It wasn't until the repetative sounds of Tupac, NWA, and Dr. Dre blaring from brother Hooda's stereo, that RhymeSkeme grew to like Hiphop. It started slow, watching MTV and seeing the videos, lyricism, and emotion poured into the lyrics of early Tupac, Nas, Jay Z and Talib Kweli is what initially hooked RhymeSkeme to the upbeat tempo's and instrumentals. Then the collection started.
As the range of commerical Hiphop increased, so did RhymeSkeme's music choices. Early days consisted of Three 6 Mafia, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Talib Kweli, Tupac, Lil' Wyte, and altho stereotypical of white rappers...Eminem. "Eminem is a fucking genious. Almost all his songs are nothing but meta's, multies and wordplay. Like him or not, Em has changed the face of Hiphop forever." (RhymeSkeme) And indeed, it was the motivation of Davitz, LoLife, D-Menace, Eminem, Red 44, Lil' Wyte and white rappers alike that fueled the drive to become an emcee. "I'm not just another cracker jumping on the bandwagon of white emcees. I'm not Eminem, so don't compare me to him. I have a gift, and whether you like it or not...I will put that gift to use." (RhymeSkeme)
RhymeSkeme got known around Watertown, WI aka the RiverCity by freestyling at parties and performing at them. But what really sparked the flame was one single verse he dropped over Trick Daddy's "Daddy Dollars" beat on his first mixtape appearance. That verse got him recognition all over the city from adults, teens and even younger kids.
Now after vast lyrical improvements, and major equipment upgrades, RhymeSkeme is working on his solo debut album "Rhyme & Reason." This cd has been a year in the making, and RhymeSkeme is making sure only the best of the best tracks make the cut. This cd is sure to please any Hip hop enthusiasts ears. Meanwhile, he will also appear on the Local Hype series of mixtapes. So until "Rhyme & Reason" drops, keep an eye out for the Local Hype tapes which will include appearances from Mikie, D-Menace, autoMatik, Young Money, Lil' Flame and Colorless.
