Started singing at the age of 13. Joined first choir at 17, and did my first gig as a backing vocalist at 17. First 4 part harmony vocal group at 19, and did LOADS of concerts around the UK. First session as a professional Backing singer at 18 - happened to be 'The Lighthouse family ' live on Jools Holland. (A lot more boring than it sounds!)
From then on it was pretty much BV'ing with different artists, live and recorded.Greenbelt music festival was a memorable gig- had alot of fun! But the most incredible has GOT to be Wembley Stadium ON THE PITCH! (No not at a football match...) It was with the WADES at Noel Richards GAthering, the stage was HUGE the speakers were SILLY BIG and the stadium (including pitch) was packed!Started singing very seriously in church around 4 years ago and thats pretty much where I am now. During this time I've had the chance to sing in some of Londons most prestigious venues, including: Hammersmith Apollo, The Royal Albert Hall; and Wembley.I'm currently studying at the 'Royal College of music' as a music teacher of VOICE.Writing has become my obsession in the last 2 years. I have a nice little collection of songs which I am seeking to get 'out there'.As a committed Christian, I currently lead a worship service at one of the largest churches in Europe. It would be great to go out on the road with a team to do more leading at conferences and larger events.GOING FORWARD:I am in the process of forming a new band- 'Jo Melody' - watch this Space.Check out my new company! www.melodyvocal.co.uk
