Believe it or not, I am a native San Diegian, born and raised in Spring Valley (southeast San Diego County) and currently reside in Bonita (South Bay). In a nutshell, ...... all in all I'm pretty cool and laid back. One of the guys, but girly when I need to be. Hard worker - sometimes too hard (borderline workaholic). A great listener but I definitely talk too much once I get started - that or I say nothing at all. Would die for family and my best friends - love my girls (and guys). Outgoing but a homebody. Confident, yet also self-doubting. Very loyal, almost to a fault. Very responsible, sometimes to the point of taking care of other people's responsibilities (even when I don't have to). A no-nonsense honest girl who is caring, loving, sincere and passionate. And of course, last but definitely not least - I am a single mom and my son is my entire world.I love dancing, NASCAR, football, baseball, reading, watching TV (CSI, Law & Order, Without a Trace, Cold Case, etc.), country music (but listen to a variety of music). I like being outdoors, but haven't had much opportunity lately, outside of hanging at the beach with my family. I love my job and my family, and am extremely dedicated to both. I am very independent, have a strong mind and will of my own, and stand strongly behind my beliefs. I'm not a girly-girl (but girly enough), and can dress up and be a socialite with the best of them. I love spending time with my friends and family. I love to shop (retail therapy) and I love to read. I usually say what I mean and mean what I say, which tends to get me into trouble. I am also very loyal and protective of those I call my friends/family. I like to go out and do things (dancing, dinner, movies, going to the beach, BBQ, etc.) but I also very much enjoy hanging out at home and doing absolutely nothing. I am also part of the "drama-free" zone. I try to avoid this as much as possible. But of course, life has a tendency to dish this out more often than not, so I guess its par for the course.Here is a poem from my childhood that my grandmother use to keep on our fridge - now it's the story of my life. =

While the storm rages, below the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm, it simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.When the storms of life come upon us ... and all of us will experience them ... we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God.The storms do not have to overcome us, we can allow God's power to lift us above them.
