In love with a song? Yes many songs--it's the core of my existence...MY NAME IS JOEY AUCH (Pronounced Awk) --I'm a Singer-Songwriter originally from a little town in upstate New York called Spencerport. In pursuing my musical aspirations and the much coveted "record deal" I ended up spending the past few years living up and down the east coast, recently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina until I moved to the amazing city of New York - which I love.
My musical resume contains accolades such as: Finalist in the 2004 International Songwriting Competition, Finalist and Runner-up in the 2006 We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter Awards where One judge said I had â€Star quality vocals...Excellent songs...knows what he is going for, he is credible in his storytelling...Reminds me of Paul McCartney at times...great verse lyrics – specific and everything but cliché.†This year (2007) I won 1st place in The Great American Songwriting Contest. Performing Songwriter said "Vocalist, Keyboard Player, and songwriter Joey Auch's able vocals glide across hook laden melodies...combine rock, brit-pop, alt-country, and even a bit of funk into...catchy rootsy sound."-that was cool too. Some other folks paid me compliment as well (see my website).
Anyhow my point is that even though--- yes I am not a very good dancer--or comedian for that matter, I can write a decent song or two. Check some of them out here or more importantly come out to a show. Meanwhile let's be friends.
