Look out Philadelphia, There’s a New Mafia in Town
A group of independent artists and designers has formed the Philadelphia branch of the international Craft MafiaTM family.
Armed with sewing machines and business plans, eight local entrepreneurs have joined together to form the Philadelphia branch of the international Craft MafiaTM family.
The Philadelphia Craft Mafia is a network of independent craft business owners with a common goal to provide an outlet for promotion and networking in Philadelphia’s thriving DIY community. The local organization represents a wide range of craft-related businesses, including jewelry design, embroidery, and weaving.
The Philadelphia-based group was inspired by the success of the original Craft MafiaTM in Austin, TX, whose members not only operate successful small businesses but have gone on to host several television shows on DIY Network. The Austin-based group originally came together through a shared love for craft, DIY ethics, and mutual respect.
The Philadelphia Craft Mafia is part of the Craft MafiaTM family.
