About Me

I love to travel. I have been to Japan, China, Italy and Australia. Countries I would like to visit are Greece, Ireland, Austria, Spain, Russia and France.
I like to cook and I love to have friends over for dinner.
I like many cuisines of the world; Thai, Japanese, East Indian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Greek, Italian and Spanish. But then again, with a medium-well steak, a little blue cheese and some crisp fries I am all happy!
Being Gluten Intolerant, my love of food has become a challenge, but I am still able to explore and try a variety of culinary delights.
I am the kind of woman who enjoys four stars, fine wine, attentive waiters and table cloths, but I always love my low-brow-hole-in-the-wall-greasy-spoon-dive-diner and BBQ joint.
I look forward to my walks along the beach nearly every day. I enjoy being outside after it rains when everything is fresh and renewed.
In my free time I get involved in fundraising and event planning. I have always been community minded and seek new ways to assist whenever I can. I have organized events for Cabrillo College's Culinary Arts Program, Cabrillo College's Music Program and The Pajaro Valley Historical Association.
Other groups or charities that I support are>: Dientes-Dental care for those with low-income, Above The Line-an alternative to legal detention for teenage girls, Women's Crisis Support, The Museum of Art and History at the McPherson Center, Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group and Heifer International.
