CHEKA is a not-for-profit and volunteer-based organisation. It was established to provide Care, Health & Education to Kids in Africa.
CHEKA is a Swahili word that means "laugh". Kiswahili is one of the official languages in Kenya. Because our initial project proposals are based in Kenya we felt a Swahili name was appropriate.
Our Mission Statement:
To empower children in Africa through providing them with shelter, education and health services. We aim to improve the quality of life to the children of Africa through various projects.
We have identified what we deem to be reputable and worthy causes to fundraise for. The money that we raise will be used to help local people to run the projects on a day-to-day basis. This enables people in the local communities to make a difference.
