"I never thought it would be like this she thought to herself. My dark hair blew in the wind across my face. I can’t believe an argument can turn my life into this. Did I go looking for all this trouble? I thought about his face, the image was burned in my mind. I stood alone in the dark. I looked at the stars above and wondered what was out there. Was this just a game to a force bigger than me, playing with my life? I looked at the parking lot below; it was empty save for my Mini. I took in the landscape around me. The college building was so far from anything; probably why know one ever got into trouble I thought. I never wanted to go to the college but dad fought so hard for me and anywhere else would be too far. My gazed wondered to the town below and then to house on the outskirts, it seemed to glow compared to the town which was a blaze with street lamps. But this house was different the lights were dim but its presence haunted me. A chill went down my spine. “Thinking of jumping?†A velvet smooth voice called to me, I turned around and there he was towering above like an angel. The moonlight made him glow; he held his hand to my face and detached the tangled hair from my eyelashes. “Do you understand why your here?†I nodded “Then you know what I am?†I gazed at his face, it was too shadowed to see his features, yet his eyes seemed to burn into mine. “Burn, What am I?†I struggled to find the air to breathe, it felt cold and thick. I fought against my lungs breathing what I could to stop me from fainting. I thought of turning and running screaming from him or falling into his arms and not being afraid.
