The magazine will not only cover the various genres of reggae music, past and present, but also local designers, ‘hotspots’ and locally produced goods and services.There are also features on international reggae artistes.The aim of the magazine is to depict the Jamaican lifestyle and music as accurately and unbiased as possible and to spread the positive vibrations that is reggae music to the world.Our target market is anyone who respects and supports reggae music and the Jamaican lifestyle, but for demographic purposes 18 - 45.The magazine was first released in June 2005 and since then has been released quarterly since its inception. We have since then formed alliances with companies in the United States primarily Irie Jam Media and Rebound Entertainment in NYC and a host of independent distributors that have took our publication to that critical international level, and have pushed our music and culture into the mainstream waters of USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada and the Caribbean.Born and bred in Kingston, Jamaica, BACK-A-YARD Magazine is the official voice for global reggae entertainment and culture.
