"Luneack's honeyed, solid vocals serve as a gateway to personal reflection through self-penned tracks that often work through sorrow, anger or confusion by finding clarity, hope and assurance through faith."
-Lisa M. Jensen, Grand Rapids Magazine, August 2004"Singer/Songwriter Sara Whitney Luneack is as gutsy with her vocals as she is with her songwriting. With her recent release of freshman album In the Wind, Sara blends deep, honest lyrics with moody, ethereal backdrops to create songs that grab the ear and awaken the heart. She displays a Sarah Mclachlan-esque grace, the drama of Fiona Apple, and the vocal power of Eva Cassidy.""I want to give back what so many songwriters give me brilliant articulation of emotion and the sense that were not alone."Sara Whitney Luneack grew up in Alma, Michigan and loved music from a young age. Her first musical memory is that of the old organ that sat in her house. As a toddler she loved to experiment with the keys and the stops, though she couldnt reach the pedals. It was to be the first of much original music that would flow from Sara's pen and be one of her most treasured abilities. In middle school Sara began attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in the summers for choral music. She won the Outstanding Camper Award Scholarship her first year there, and eventually toured in Europe with the Blue Lake International Choir. She was heavily involved in jazz band in middle school and high school, singing and playing at many festivals and concerts.
